Obama camp: We won
On top of all the initial confusion, I heard that you all did not have the proper facilities to accomodate the surge of royal OBAMA supporters. Yeah, I got the low down on all you rootin-tootin cowboys and girls. Even way across in South Carolina. I heard that because of the shitty facilities you all provided for all of my loyal OBAMA supporters, that thousands of them got frustrated and left. That's a shame!! All of those game-changing votes that could not be cast. Subtract that, and OBAMA would have blew her a*s outta the water!!! Thanx a lot you a******s. And in terms of whining candidates, PLEASE, DON'T EVEN GO THERE!!!!! Any haters, email me. jayrock_thareelest@yahoo.com I'm Jonathan Williams and I appove this message!!!!!!!! .
How to Hack Into a Boeing 787
In other words, it's possible this plane could be hacked. - Click here to read the FAA's special condition regarding computer security on the 787-8. "Special conditions" are issued by the FAA when it finds problems with technologies so new that they're not yet covered by existing regulations. In such cases, manufacturers must meet the new criteria before aircraft can be certified as safe to carry passengers. Ten special conditions have been issued for the 787-8. Boeing denies that a computer-security problem exists, and says further that if it does, it's already been corrected. "There is a limited amount of information between networks [on the 787]," said company spokeswoman Lori Gunter. "The least amount is between passenger and flight control." She added that Boeing is not working on a solution to the security problem — because the company has already resolved it, having known the FAA was drafting the special condition months in advance.
Obama: Beware 'Reverse Bradley'
Obama's finest speeches do not excite. They do not inform. They don't even really inspire. They elevate. They enmesh you in a grander moment, as if history has stopped flowing passively by, and, just for an instant, contracted around you, made you aware of its presence, and your role in it. He is not the Word made flesh, but the triumph of word over flesh, over color, over despair. The other great leaders I've heard guide us towards a better politics, but Obama is, at his best, able to call us back to our highest selves, to the place where America exists as a glittering ideal, and where we, its honored inhabitants, seem capable of achieving it, and thus of sharing in its meaning and transcendence Actually, pompous isnt really the word for this passage. There's a sort of hectoring naivete, as if Klein's too inexperienced to know that "call us back to our highest selves" is a drained cliche.
DVD Review: I've Seen So Many DVD's That My Monthly Rental's Going UP ...
Here's my views on "Guy -X", "Lives of Others", "Welcome to the Jungle", "Lady Chatterley", "Malicious", and "Redline". ENJOY!! OK, maybe everyone's is going up but I HAVE seen 61 DVD's from the online store alone. I always trade in for 3 in the store for every 3 online, so you do the math. Did anyone but me notice that most of the stuff going to DVD has a horror/slasher/bloodbath kinda theme? Anyway, here's a brief idea of some of the stuff I've seen in the last 2 weeks. Guy-X (2005): Jason Biggs is on the cover as a slouchy army guy with a bored look. It runs about 1 hour 40 minutes and is rated 'R'. My rating: $5.50 (1.-9.). Brit with an American accent, Jeremy Northam (Mira Sorvino's husband in the original "Mimic") plays Colonel Woolwrap (I think that's his rank) in an isolated, Greenland base. Bigg's plays Rudy, but he's stationed in this bad place because of a case of mistaken identity. No one cares. The military guys will remind you of the craziness in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" mixed with 'Mash'. He quickly learns to go with the flow when trying to escape fails twice. Any humor in the script got lost somewhere else. Natasha McElhone (the girl who tells "Truman" the truth) plays Irene, the base psychologist. Her personal life succumbs to the isolation, if you get my drift. By the time Rudy gets there, he's her next. We are sort of to believe Rudy and she have something special -- OK, whatever. Rudy finds a hidden hospital ward with a bunch of comatose men and one, Guy X (Michael Ironside) who is on the verge of dying --- for weeks. In the meantime, he and Rudy form an interesting alliance in which Rudy discovers a government cover up of medical experimentation. Everything falls apart when Rudy, the base newsletter/communication officer, exposes some hidden secrets. It's based on the novel, "No One Thinks of Greenland" by John Griesemer. The script was by Steve Attridge and John Paul Chapple with direction by Saul Metzstein (who's done some strange horror stuff I've never heard of before). It's weird but watchable if you're not picky. I liked seeing Jason Biggs having grown into his nose and looking more attractive.
No wonder they like Putin
Russia is, in parts, booming, and not just because of oil prices. It is making things, and in well-run towns like Archangel there is a level of wealth that is quite new. Even a Tory MP observing the elections, angry at being cold-shouldered, interspersed his criticism of Mr Putin with the remark that some of the housing estates he had seen might have been in Surrey. His victory also reflects a will on the part of Russians never to have to go through the horrors of the Chechen war ever again. Remember the Moscow theatre siege, and the gassing of the audience? Or the Beslan schoolchildren massacred in their own urine? That these things are in the past is to Mr Putin's credit, and so they deserve to be. More generally, the Russians feel at last that someone is standing up for them.
Manager will face bosses for his review
Unfortunately, Corpus Christi does have a very LOUD vocal few who always yell THROW THE BUMS OUT no matter who is being discussed. Please think a little before you make such a serious statement. Re-read Post #7's comments, we could wind up a heck of a lot worse off if we go off half cocked and do something stupid. Personally, I hope Skip Noe is with us for a very long time. Where do women voters stand
It was clean, very well maintained, the tater tots were $2 and they had these huge four pitcher decanters that was almost enough for all of us. We had a blast. I had forgot how much trauma is involved in slinging a 15 pound ball. My elbow is still a little sore. I was hoping that Pink Martini was going to be a show at the FOX, maybe with the Atlanta Symphony. I would love to go to Miami, but tyhere would need to be several reasons to go that far. What is duck bowling? Please tell me that you have not been throwing heavy balls at little ducks! .
Dawgs hold off Arizona, earn win
With their newfound momentum and realization of the ability to win the close games, the Dawgs defeated Arizona (9-17, 3-12 Pac-10) on the road 60-58 last night. It wasn't exactly an easy journey. After the Dawgs kept the game to a tie at the end of the first half (28-28) they soared ahead to a 12-point lead in the second, but gave nearly all of it up at the end, mostly on the strength of Arizona guard Ashley Whisonant's 23 points. After getting to within two, Whisonant threw up a final three-point attempt with the clock nearing zero, but her shot failed to fall as the Huskies held on for the win. “This team is steadily getting better. Earlier, we play these close games and we don't come up with victories, but now we're on a 3-0 run," UW coach Tia Jackson said on KKNW Radio.
