Read this story about Amy's little angel in this week's Upper Cape Codder

Tragedy strikes family a second time By Robert Slager/ rslager@cnc.com A little angel has been whispering into Amy Johnson's ear every day since June 7. The voice of her little sister Kristen, forever frozen in time, is pleading with her to fight a little bit longer. "I know it's true," said Carol Henderson of Wareham, who lost one daughter to a car accident a decade ago and may now lose another. "Amy has injuries that you and I could not have survived." Amy Johnson, who moved from Wareham to Bridgewater just a few weeks ago, lost control of her car in the early morning and slammed into a tree near Exit 2 on I-495, suffering massive internal injuries.

If you are an American and love your country, you have to read the story to find out this is the first time Michelle Obama has felt pride in her country, ever.

But if you are a pinko, you are probably thinking what do you mean she's "proud of her country," and then you see that she "clarified her remarks" and for a lib that means she still hates America for the most part, the tinge of pride was accidental, it won't happen again.

The libs are trashing a war hero????

{{{{Mr. McCain promised, for example, never to fly directly from Washington to Phoenix, his hometown, to avoid the impression of self-interest because he sponsored a law that opened the route nearly a decade ago. But like other lawmakers, he often flew on the corporate jets of business executives seeking his support, including the media moguls Rupert Murdoch, Michael R.

Ferry Report Blames Owners, Corruption

A professor at the University of South Florida and one-time campaigner for President George W. Bush, Al-Arian was a prominent advocate of inter-faith dialogue when he was first arrested more than three years ago. His case won wide attention in the Arab world after Al-Arian was profiled in Egypt Today in December 2003. (See “Shattered Dream” by Yasmine Moll, page 72.)

Al-Arian could serve up to five years in prison. The 48-year-old father of three will be deported at the end of his sentence. He has pleaded guilty to one charge of supporting PIJ, illegal under US law because the State Department has deemed PIJ a terror group.

“This conviction is the result of years of exhaustive investigative and prosecutorial work during which the government utilized the many tools we have available to us in the ongoing war against terrorism,” the Orlando Sun-Sentinel quoted US District Attorney Paul Perez as saying.

US Airways puts $25 fee on 2nd bag

That extra piece of luggage is going to cost you.

Starting May 5, US Airways will begin charging passengers $25 for a second checked bag, matching a recent policy change by rival United Airlines. The move illustrates the shift in many industries to an a la carte model in which customers pay only for the services they want -- or can't avoid.

"It's a sign of the times," said David Stempler, president of the Air Travelers Association, a trade group representing U.S. passengers. The big air carriers "are unbundling their services and may start charging for each of them -- extra bags, priority seats, food, maybe drinks, pillows and blankets."

US Airways -- which already charges $7 for meals in coach, $15 to book a reservation over the phone, $20 to buy a ticket at the airport and $2 for curbside check-in -- will assess the new checked-baggage fee on each leg of a round-trip flight, totaling $50 for both ways.
